Doctors

About us and the way we choose to practice mobile eye care.

Let’s make it fun and exciting for you to come to the eye doctor’s office.

As a highly motivated Optometrist, Dr. Brian Ludwig welcomes the opportunity to extend his services to your facility.  In particular, over the last several years Dr. Brian Ludwig has been servicing more than two dozen skilled nursing/assisted living facilities in New York State providing quality care to patients of all backgrounds. Dr. Brian Ludwig will certainly make a valuable addition to any interdisciplinary team.

“I make it a priority to establish an open, cooperative relationship with our patients. The goal is to partner with you to achieve optimum health for your eyes…”

Dr. Brian Ludwig completed his Bachelors in Biology at Stony Brook University and his Doctorate in Optometry at New England College of Optometry.  He is TPA certified and the primary eye care practitioner for a number of skilled nursing/assisted living facilities. Not only does he service physical facilities, but he also performs in-home visits to patients who often struggle to obtain routine vision care. In practicing mobile optometry, he has been providing comprehensive visual evaluations and co-management of ocular diseases for the individuals under his care.

“Through my programs, I give patients super-practical, actionable guidance so they can see great, take care of their eyes, and actually enjoy the process.”

A visit to the doctor can be fun!

With over 20 years of combined experience, Dr. Brian Ludwig and Dr. Eric Ludwig, will ensure that you, or your loved one, will received quality, affordable, and accessible eye care.

Our mission is more than just vision.

Dr. Eric Ludwig has been working with the elderly in skilled nursing and assisted care facilities for the past five years since graduating from Optometry school.  With a background in primary care optometry, Dr. Eric Ludwig’s career focus has shifted over the past few years to mobile optometry with an emphasis on caring for the elderly and a less mobile population.  He has been able to combine his skill in diagnostics with a positive attitude and good bedside manner to excel in this niche of the profession. Dr. Eric Ludwig is the primary eye-care provider at multiple skilled nursing facilities and maintains a very good rapport among colleagues and staff.

Dr. Eric Ludwig has been relied upon to train new graduates as well as experienced doctors new to the practice of mobile optometry.  He has recently extended his care from New York to parts of Connecticut to manage under served populations of elderly in need of eye-care.

“I think it’s important for everyone to have regular eye exams, but the elderly in particular.  Many patients I see in the field have not had an eye exam in many years and with advancing ages, ocular disease becomes more likely.  I like to establish a friendly working relationship with my patients and tailor my exams to fit their specific needs. Every patient I see is in a different situation and their needs have to come first and foremost.”

Dr. Eric Ludwig graduated from University of Albany with a Bachelors in Human Biology and completed his doctorate at the New England College of Optometry.  He has aspired to be an Optometrist since his first visit to the eye doctor in junior high school and continues to be engaged and inspired working in the profession he loves.
